At the Business Meets Art the Italian Chair District tells the IWD project and the world of Design
On July the 16th, at Teatro San Giorgio of Udine, the director of the Italian Chair District, Carlo Piemonte, was present as speaker at the Business Meets Art Conference, which aims to promote opportunities for dialogue between the business community and the cultural excellences of the territory.
To the large audience present at the meeting was explained the Italian Workshop Design project, an initiative whose goal is the creation of original products resulting from the collaboration between young international designers and the companies of the Italian Chair District.
The latest edition in 2012 was carried out in partnership with the Udine Chamber of Commerce and the collaboration of Fabrica (Benetton Group), under the artistic direction entrusted to the young designer Valentina Carretta. The companies involved were Area Declic, BP Chairs, Calligaris, Cizeta, Palma, Piaval, Riccardo Rivoli Design and Very Wood.
