Facilitate and strengthen the processes of internationalization of the production systems of Italian design, in particular Made in Italy furniture, promoting its excellence in the world with a particular focus on Asia and China. It is the goal of "ICIDE" - International Center of Italian Design srl, the new service company of the Furniture Cluster of Friuli Venezia Giulia, a company business-oriented in order to monitor the foreign markets, especially those with a greater complexity. The act of establishment has been signed by the president of Furniture Cluster of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Mr. Franco di Fonzo who, on instruction of the relative Management Board, has appointed as sole C.E.O. of the new company the director of Furniture Cluster of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Mr. Carlo Piemonte.

Our Cluster is growing

ICIDE is a development of Furniture Cluster of Friuli Venezia Giulia which, in relation to its internationalization activity, is careful to the relationships of our companies, in particular with China, enhancing and strengthening the projects already in progress on this market - states the President, Mr. Franco Di Fonzo -. An exchange not only commercial but also cultural, which enriches both countries. The Furniture Cluster - continued the President - has seen a strong acceleration in the last two years, thanks in part to the huge activity of development of internationalization carried forward successfully to date. With ICIDE we want to structure this activity and increase its effectiveness by dedicating a selected team intended to specifically follow the actions related to the international commercial development”.

In China and around the world

A team of professionals, based on a long-standing experience of the Furniture Cluster in home system sector of Friuli Venezia Giulia, is already active in order to accompany FVG companies abroad and act as point of reference, with headquarter in Buttrio at Furniture Cluster's office and operating base in the Furniture District, to operators looking for business parters. A project, which will be fully operational from 1st February, 2018, which aims to strengthen the presence of made in Italy products in the world from FVG offering tailor-made services to companies in the region and north-east of Italy with the aim to increase the integrated work in a international level, starting from the possibilities of commercial development of each one and from the expectations of internationalization or commercial development.

The project and its goals

The operational coordination is entrusted to Evelyn Marchesin, former representative of the Pordenone Furniture District for the Furniture Cluster. "ICIDE is a further concrete response that we give to a specific request of companies in our region - explains Carlo Piemonte, director of the Furniture Cluster and sole director of the company -: the project aims to assist the different types of companies, to bring them to the markets with a business-oriented approach by working closely with the best players already active in the various global markets. At the same time, we want to become a reference hub for foreign operators looking for new products or production capacities for their interior design projects, being aware that in our territory they will find a very high level of quality and competence". Workshops planned to train operators from emerging markets to transmit the value of Made in Italy and Italian Design and international brand promotion services for groups of companies are in place, providing a high-level assistance for foreign buyers.

The presentation of ICIDE

ICIDE captures the needs in order to support the international and commercial development processes of companies and networks of companies in the north-east of Italy by providing ad hoc services developed from time to time according to the characteristics of the business, markets and operators indicated by companies and brands that will entrust ICIDE with their interest to initiate and strengthen promotional activities nationally and worldwide.

Acting as a meeting point between Italian Design and international markets, ICIDE's specialized staff will transmit the production capacity, tradition, design content, artisanal's contribution, style and innovation of Italian manufacturing through a service of promotion of brands, focused on contact, meeting, sharing information and the continued updating of communication with architecture and interior design firms, buyers, designers and contractors, as operators identified as being of interest for the development of know-how and the reputation of companies and therefore of business-to-business relationships.

ICIDE will also provide consulting, organization and management services for the realization of national and international events and economic and commercial missions, for the participation in national and foreign fairs aimed at promoting and marketing the products of furniture companies. ICIDE will also act on international markets as a platform for development, coordination and sharing in favor of foreign operators interested in the values, style and products of Made in Italy, satisfying their training and business needs through services dedicated and personalized. With its headquarter in Buttrio and operating in the territory of Pordenone, ICIDE offices will be a reference point for companies in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region and, more widely, in the north east of Italy.
